Notice & Agenda


Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 309/307 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):


1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of February 26, 2014, and the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of February 26, 2014.


2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned roads on July 25, 2014 and July 26, 2014 for the Connecticut Challenge Bicycle Ride, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, as amended Sept. 15, 2010.


3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Luciano Park by Al’s Angels for an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19, 2014, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, as amended Sept. 15, 2010.


4. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Arts Advisory Committee, to accept the gift of the mural Saugatuck in the Nineteenth Century from TD Bank, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended October 28, 1998.


5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Tree Warden, to accept a donation of 34 nursery trees from Planter’s Choice Nursery, LLC, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended October 28, 1998.


6. Pursuant to C.G.S. Section 8-23, to review and comment on the proposed amendment to the 2007 Plan of Conservation and Development (“POCD”) in connection with relocating the Kemper Gunn House from 35 Church Lane to 35 Elm Street (Baldwin Parking Lot).
