Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearing Continuance

 PUBLIC NOTICE  

 

The Public Hearing of the Planning and Zoning Commission on the items below will be further continued on February 20, 2014, at 7:00 P.M.

  1. 20 Jesup Road:  §8-24 Request by the First Selectman for a report from the Planning and Zoning Commission regarding a proposed expansion of the Westport Library on Town owned property located at 20 Jesup Road in a Res. AA Zone, PID #C09130000
  1. Amendment #666:  Appl. #13-056 by Richard Redniss agent for New Country Toyota for a text amendment to the zoning regulations to modify §24-2.2 (Special Permit Uses [in GBD Zone]) to add §24-2.2.9 “Automobile Dealership, in conformance with §6-6.2” to modify §24-2.4 (Prohibited uses [in GBD Zone]) to add the words “except as provided in §24-2.2.9, herein” to add a new section §6-6.2 for Automobile Dealerships, [on Split Zoned Properties] which would allow the redevelopment and expansion of existing Automobile Dealerships on lots spilt between GBD and Res. A with frontage on an arterial street when 80% of the residentially zoned property is protected as permanent open space with additional restrictions on floor area, height, FAR, parking and landscaping with an exemption from §34-12 (Concealed Parking) and a modification to §34-11.2 (Curb Cuts and Access Drives) to add the words “where upstream and downstream curb cuts are limited to one way operations.”
  2. Amendment #668:  Appl. #13-063 by Lawrence P. Weisman for a text amendment to the zoning regulations to amend §26-1.3 (Removal), to delete the words “or Special Permit application” and to add the words “ and b) applications to amend previously approved  Special Permits in a Design Development District, provided that such amendments shall not increase either existing lot coverage or existing building coverage by more than 20%, but in no event will the final coverage calculation be more than permitted in §26-2.7.”
