The Board of Selectmen and Water Pollution Control Authority meeting schedule is posted to the town's web calendar each February for the following 12 months.  See below for proposed standing meeting dates which are subject to change.  Consult the calendar as the meeting date approaches for agenda and updates.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 309/307 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):


1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of January 22, 2014.


2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Veterans Green by the Domestic Violence Awareness Task Force on February 14, 2014, for a gathering to raise awareness of domestic violence during Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, as amended Sept. 15, 2010.


3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Imperial Avenue Parking lot by the Westport Farmers’ Market on Thursdays from May 22, 2014 through November 6, 2014 for the weekly Farmers’ Market, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, as amended Sept. 15, 2010.


4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Veterans Green on Saturday, June 7, 2014 and Sunday, June 8, 2014 for the Westport Historical Society’s Hidden Garden Tour activities, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, as amended Sept. 15, 2010.


5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the application for use of town-owned roadways on Sunday, June 22, 2014 by Fairfield Half.org for the use of certain town roadways for the Fairfield Half Marathon, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, as amended Sept. 15, 2010.


6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon recommendation of the Town Clerk, and in accordance with Connecticut General Statute Sec.7-65 (b), to approve the appointments of Neil F. Harding and John J. Harding as subregistrars of vital records to act on the Town Clerk’s behalf during hours in which the office of the registrar of vital records is closed.


7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon recommendation of the Village District Steering Committee, to approve a contract between The Town of Westport and The Cecil Group, Inc. for preparation of a Village District Study for Westport Center.

8. (revision) To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon recommendation of the Downtown Steering Committee, to approve a contract between the Town of Westport and the RBA Group of Connecticut, LLC for the preparation of the Downtown Westport Master Plan.


9. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a residential sanitary sewer connection at property located at 7 Turtleback Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of January 21, 2014.


10. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a residential sanitary sewer connection at property located at 14 Prospect Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of January 21, 2013.


11. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to set a public hearing date to determine final benefit assessments to be levied against properties that obtained supplemental sanitary sewer connection approval during 2013.
