WESTPORT CONSERVATION COMMISSION

PUBLIC HEARING

OCTOBER 16, 2013

 

Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the Westport Conservation Commission pursuant to the Connecticut Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act, and the Regulations for the Protection and Preservation of Inland Wetlands and Watercourses of the Town of Westport (IWW Regulations) to be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in Room 201 at 7:00 p.m. of the Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue. The Commission shall meet to take such action under the purview of the Town’s IWW Regulations and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance as the meeting may determine with regard to the following:

 

Changes or Additions to the Agenda. The Commission may amend the agenda by a 2/3 vote to include items not requiring a Public Hearing.

 

Work Session I: Room 201/201A, 7:00 pm. (The work session is not a public hearing. The public is invited to attend but may not speak.) The following applications will be “received” by the Conservation Commission subject to determination of completion. A public hearing will not be opened at this time for the following applications:

 

  1. Receipt of Applications
  2. Report by Colin Kelly, Conservation Compliance Officer on the status of existing enforcement activity.
  3. 34 Harbor Rd. request for bond release held as a condition of approval of Application #WPL-8813-11 for sediment and erosion controls and plantings.
  4. Approval of September 18, 2013 meeting minutes.
  5. Registration for annual CACIWC meeting.
  6. Other Business

 

Public Hearing: Room 201/201A, 7:20 pm. The following applications will be “received” by the Conservation Commission subject to determination of completion. If applications are determined to be complete the Commission will proceed by opening the hearing. (At this time interested parties may be heard after being recognized by the Chairman. Written communication may be received for all applications until the public hearing is closed.) Applications and plans may be examined in the Conservation Department, Room 205, Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

 

  1. 43 Owenoke Park:  Application #WPL-9588-13 by Barr Associates LLC on behalf of Marily Levitt for a proposed lift and relocation of the existing house with a new deck and entries and modified driveway and parking court with retaining walls. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.

 

  1. 42 Burr Farms Road, 8 Gilbert Lane, 14 Greenwood Lane, 8 Lehn Farm Road, 36 Little Fox Lane, 28 Jennings Court, 4 Melwood Lane, 14 Bonnie Brook Road, 79 Richmondville Avenue, , 20 Hyde Lane: Application #IWW/M-9597-13 by the Town of Westport on behalf of Susan Vanech, Yahya & Wafaa Naggar, Dean Graves, Jason Steigler, Jon Orseck, Adam Brodsky & Mary Garone, Jonathan Hochauser, Virginia Gambale, 79Richmondville LLC, Michelle Knapp, respectively,  to amend wetland maps #F11, F8, H12, E12, C14, E12, H12, D15, E15, and H10, respectively.

 

Work Session II: (The work session is not a public hearing. The public is invited to attend but may not speak.)

  1. Other business.

 

The Commission may not open new business on the agenda after 11:00 p.m. at the discretion of the Chairman.  This includes applications scheduled for public hearings.  Items shall be continued or rescheduled to a later date as necessary.
