Conservation Commission Notice of Decision

 LEGAL NOTICE OF DECISION

WESTPORT CONSERVATION COMMISSION

JULY 17, 2013

 

Notice is hereby given that the Conservation Commission made the following decisions at its July 17, 2013 public hearing in conformance with the Connecticut Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act and the Town of Westport’s Regulations for the Protection and Preservation of Wetlands and Watercourses and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance.

 

THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS WERE APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS:

 

  1. 79 Newtown Turnpike:  Application #IWW,WPL-9431-13 by Land-Tech Consultants on behalf of Chabad Lubavitc Synagogue c/o Ken Gruder for the partial reconstruction and modification of the existing parking lot. Portions of the work are within the WPLO area of Poplar Plains Brook, the wetland and the upland review area.
  2. 54 Harbor Road:  Application #WPL-9494-13 by Jacek Bigosinski on behalf of Gild Orwasher to lift house to elevation 14.4’ NGVD, create parking for two cars below, add a second floor, and add additional finished space to allow for a new internal stair. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
  3. 1 Conte Place:  Application #WPL-9498-13 by Dean Martin, PE on behalf of Graham J Bond to raze the existing structure and construct a new single family dwelling with associate site improvements. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.

 

Application, plans, and decision may be examined in the Conservation Department, Room 205, Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. excluding holidays.
