LEGAL NOTICE AND AGENDA
WESTPORT CONSERVATION COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING
OCTOBER 19, 2011
Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the Westport Conservation Commission pursuant to the Connecticut Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act, and the Regulations for the Protection and Preservation of Inland Wetlands and Watercourses of the Town of Westport (IWW Regulations) to be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. of the Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue. The Commission shall meet to take such action under the purview of the Town’s IWW Regulations and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance as the meeting may determine with regard to the following:
Work Session I: 7:00 pm, Auditorium. (The work session is not a public hearing. The public is invited to attend but may not speak.) The following applications will be “received” by the Conservation Commission subject to determination of completion. A public hearing will not be opened at this time for the following applications:
1. Receipt of Applications
2. Report by Colin Kelly, Conservation Compliance Officer on the status of existing enforcement activity.
3. 57 Partrick Rd.: CONTINUED REVIEW of request by Eugene Cederbaum to eliminate Condition 18 of Resolution #IWW,WPL/E-8496-09 that required the driveway remain permeable with said restriction to be placed on the land records.
4. Other Business
Public Hearing: 7:30 pm, Auditorium. The following applications will be “received” by the Conservation Commission subject to determination of completion. If applications are determined to be complete the Commission will proceed by opening the hearing. (At this time interested parties may be heard after being recognized by the Chairman. Written communication may be received for all applications until the public hearing is closed.) Applications and plans may be examined in the Conservation Department, Room 205, Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
1. 9 Woodside Lane: Application #IWW/M-8896-11 by Jason Edward, LS on behalf of Gregory Peterson to amend wetland boundary map A-10.
2. 11 Twin Falls Lane: Application #IWW/M-8906-11 by Twin Falls Lane LLC to amend wetland boundary map B-13.
3. 11 Great Marsh Road: CONTINUED REVIEW of Application #WPL-8889-11 by Land-Tech Consultants, Inc. on behalf of David Korus for an excavation and fill permit. The site is wholly within the WPLO area and the 25-year floodplain of the Saugatuck River.
4. 43 Owenok Park: Application #WPL-8905-11 by Barr Associates, LLC on behalf of Marilyn Levitt for a new elevator core with laundry/storage addition, bathroom extension, garage roof overhang and minor driveway modification. Portions of the work are within the 25 year floodplain and the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
5. 40 Riverfield Drive: Application #IWW,WPL-8908-11 by Dean E Martin, PE on behalf of Sara and Matthew Fair to clean intermittent watercourse of silt and plant growth, replace the existing driveway culvert with four, 24” HDPE pipes, widen driveway at crossing, construct new parking areas and construct plunge pool and sediment trap adjacent to Riverfield Drive. Portions of the work are within the wetland, the upland review area and, the WPLO area of an unnamed watercourse.

1. Approval of September 19, 2011 field trip minutes.
2. Approval of September 21, 2011 meeting minutes..
3. Other business.
The Commission may not open new business on the agenda after 11:00 p.m. at the discretion of the Chairman. This includes applications scheduled for public hearings. Items shall be continued or rescheduled to a later date as necessary.
