LEGAL NOTICE OF DECISION

WESTPORT CONSERVATION COMMISSION

JUNE 19, 2013

 

Notice is hereby given that the Conservation Commission made the following decisions at its June 19, 2013 public hearing in conformance with the Connecticut Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act and the Town of Westport’s Regulations for the Protection and Preservation of Wetlands and Watercourses and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance.

 

THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS WERE APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS:

 

  1. 31 Owenoke Park:  Application #WPL-9463-13 by McChord Engineering on behalf of JJ Salzman LLC to install a free-standing wall along the east property line and replace flower beds at entrance with gravel to accommodate pedestrian easement. Work is within the WPLO area of Gray’s Creek.
  2. 6 Harbor Road:  Application #WPL-9466-13 by Lucky Four Realty LLC for demolition of existing and the construction of a new, FEMA compliant home with associated site improvements. Work is within the 100 year floodplain and WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
  3. 6 Sea Spray Road:  Application #WPL-9467-13 by Achilles Architects on behalf of Tammy Stendik-Zelkowitz to elevate the existing house above the FEMA 100 year flood boundary with new masonry front stairs and new wood rear stairs, a new addition below the existing raised deck, a new fence, a new generator, a relocated/raised oil tank & a/c units, removal of existing non-conforming rear stairs and shed. Work is within the 100 year floodplain and WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
  4. 3 Old Mill Road:  Application #WPL-9468-13 by Barr Associates LLC on behalf of Jacquelyn Richardson to elevate the existing residence above the FEMA 100 year flood boundary and a/c platform with new generator, the construction of front, side and rear entries, a rear elevated terrace, and a modified driveway. Work is within the 100 year floodplain and WPLO area of the Sherwood Mill Pond.
  5. 15 Apple Tree Trail:  Application #WPL-9469-13 by Barr Associates LLC on behalf of Robert & Dale Colson for the demolition of the existing and construction of a new, FEMA compliant residence, new mechanicals, driveway, drainage, and pool. Portions of the work are within the 100 year floodplain and WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
  6. 295 & 297 Saugatuck Avenue:  Application #WPL-9470-13 by Barr Associates LLC & Peter Cadoux Architects on behalf of Saugatuck Acquisition LLC for a proposed lot merger with removal of the existing house, pool, tennis court, septic system and dead evergreens and the construction of a new FEMA compliant residence with patios, utility court, & bocce court with modified driveway, new site drainage. Existing boat dock to remain. Portions of the work are within the 100 year floodplain and WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.

 

Application, plans, and decision may be examined in the Conservation Department, Room 205, Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. excluding holidays.
