The Board of Selectmen and Water Pollution Control Authority meeting schedule is posted to the town's web calendar each February for the following 12 months.  See below for proposed standing meeting dates which are subject to change.  Consult the calendar as the meeting date approaches for agenda and updates.

Notice & Agenda

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at 3 p.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen/Bond Committee’s special public hearing of May 14, 2013; to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of May 15, 2013; and to approve the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of May 15, 2013.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of a monetary gift from the Katz Family Foundation, Inc. to the Town of Westport Police Departmentto cover the expense of a part-time position in the Animal Control Office, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town as amended Oct. 28, 1998.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of monetary gifts from the Young Woman’s League to the Town of Westport in support of the Department of Human Services programs, including Home Delivered Meals, Campership, Families in Need, Mentor Program and Project Go, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town as amended Oct. 28, 1998.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of a monetary gift from the Westport Woman’s Club to the Westport Human Services escrows funds, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town as amended Oct. 28, 1998.

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of monetary gifts from the Westport Police Benevolent Association, the Hurlbutt Memorial Fund and the Westport/Weston Foundation to the Westport Human Services 2012-2013 Campership program, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town as amended Oct. 28, 1998.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the 2013-2014 Youth Service Bureau grant application with the State Department of Education for funds for the Positive Youth Development programs, and to authorize First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff to sign such documentation on behalf of the Town of Westport, as recommended by the Human Services Director.

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as the Imperial Avenue parking lot on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, from 6:30 – 10 p.m. for overflow parking as relates to the Gault 150th anniversary celebration, contingent upon compliance with various comments from town departments.

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a contract the Municipal Audit Agreement between the Town of Westport and McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, appointed by the Board of Finance on May 23, 2013 pursuant to C.G.S. §7-396, to perform the Town Audit of 2012-2013 fiscal period.

9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a sub-lease agreement between the Town of Westport and Chef Briana LLC d/b/a STEAM for a concession at the eastbound side of the Saugatuck railroad station commencing on July 1, 2013 for a five-year period.

10. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a sub-lease agreement between the Town of Westport and Chef Briana LLC d/b/a STEAM for a concession at the Greens Farms railroad station commencing on July 1, 2013 for a five-year period.

11. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the 2014 Historic Documents Preservation Grant application for the Town of Westport, and to empower First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff to execute and deliver in the name of and on behalf of the Town of Westport a contract with the Connecticut State Library for such grant, as recommended by the Town Clerk.

12. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Traffic Authority, to review and forward recommendations to Connecticut Department of Transportation as relates to the establishment of a NO PARKING zone on Riverside Avenue adjacent to 325 Riverside Avenue from CL&P Pole #26080 extending approximately 541 feet north to CL&P Police #26075 on east side of street, as recommended by the Westport Police Department.

13. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Traffic Authority, to review and forward recommendation to Connecticut Department of Transportation as relates to the establishment of a NO PARKING zone on the west side of Riverside Avenue beginning in the area of 408 Riverside Avenue and extending approximately 1,000 fee north to CL&P Pole #86, as recommended by the Westport Police Department.

14. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with the Westport Water Main Extension Ordinance, to consider proposed assessment and to determine final assessments to be levied for the construction of acquisition of a water main extension affecting properties located in all or part of the following areas: Pilgrim Trail.

15. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a supplemental sanitary sewer connection at property known as 11 Morningside Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of May 29, 2013

16. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a supplemental sanitary sewer connection at property known as 3 Turkey Hill Road Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA C oordinator’s letter of May 29, 2013.
