Legal Notice & Agenda

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Water Pollution Control Authority and Traffic Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at 3 p.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of Nov. 14, 2012; and to approve the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of Nov. 14, 2012.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of a monetary gift from the Westport PTA’s Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund to the Town of Westport Human Services Department, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended Oct. 28, 1998.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of monetary gifts from Coleytown Middle School, Temple Israel and local residents to the Town of Westport Human Services Department to aid residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended Oct. 28, 1998.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of monetary gifts from community residents to the Town of Westport Human Services Department 2012 Holiday Program, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended Oct. 28, 1998.

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a contract between the Town of Westport and Employee Assistance Programs of Southwestern Connecticut for employee assistance programs for the period Sept. 1, 2012 – Aug. 31, 2013.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green, Taylor parking lot and Toquet Hall by CLASP Homes, Inc. for the Westport Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, April 27, 2013, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments including the Westport/Weston Health District and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an easement to the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation for the installation and maintenance of a traffic signalization device, state project “Traffic Signal Improvements” at 60 Compo Road South, and to authorize First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff to take any other action and to execute any other document necessary to effectuate the granting of the easement.

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an agreement between the Town of Westport and Blue Ribbon Appraisal, LLC for professional valuation services including town properties located at 99 Myrtle Avenue, 52 and 52B Compo Road South, Cabins 1, 9 and 10, and the three Knollhouse apartments, as recommended by the Town Attorney’s office.

9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a resolution of endorsement for the Regional Performance Incentive Program proposal referenced in Section 5 of Public Act 11-61, An Act Concerning Responsible Growth, as recommended by the Public Works Director and Conservation Director.

10. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a supplemental sanitary sewer connection at property located at 3 Woodland Drive, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of Nov. 26, 2012.

11. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority and in accordance with Chapter 103 of the Connecticut General Statutes to accept a petition for a sanitary sewer extension to service the Joann Circle, Clover Lane and Acorn Lane area, and to approve the Public Works Department proceeding with such extension of the sanitary sewer system.

12. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority and in accordance with Chapter 103 of the Connecticut General Statutes to accept a petition for a sanitary sewer extension to service the Bulkley Avenue North, Buttonwood Lane, Alpine Lane, Old Road, Forest Drive, and Elizabeth Drive area, and to approve the Public Works Department proceeding with such extension of the sanitary sewer system.
