Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at 4 p.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of Oct. 17, 2012; and to approve the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of Oct. 17, 2012.
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve acceptance of a monetary gift to the Westport Police Department K9 Escrow Fund from Connecticut Tank Removal, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town as amended Oct. 28, 1998.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve acceptance of a monetary gift to the Westport Police Department from an anonymous donor for the purchase of permanent solar-powered LED radar sign, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town as amended Oct. 28, 1998.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve use of town-owned property known as the Imperial Avenue parking lot by Westport Boy Scouts Troop 39 on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 for the annual Christmas tree pickup fundraiser, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments including the Westport/Weston Health District and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, as amended Sept. 15, 2010.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a lease agreement between the Town of Westport and Shirley W. Mellor for the lease of 54-68 Post Road East, a/k/a Toquet Hall, for a ten-year period commencing on Jan. 1, 2013.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a State of Connecticut Department of Economic Development STEAP grant in the amount of $450,000 to assist in the cost of constructing the new Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, and to authorize First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff to sign such documentation on behalf of the Town of Westport.
7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a State of Connecticut Department of Economic Development Special Act Grant in the amount of $500,000 to assist in the cost of constructing the new Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, and to authorize First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff to sign such documentation on behalf of the Town of Westport.
8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a sanitary sewer connection at property located at 39 Jennie Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of Oct. 24, 2012.
9. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a sanitary sewer connection at property located at 8 Wakeman Place, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of Oct. 24, 2012.8
10. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a sanitary sewer connection at property located at 7 Wakeman Place, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of Oct. 24, 2012.
