LEGAL NOTICE & AGENDA

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at 4 p.m. in Room 309/307 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of July 18, 2012; and to approve the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of July 18, 2012.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve and adopt a resolution authorizing First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff to execute a quit claim deed wherein the Town of Westport conveys 2,096.5 sq. ft. to the property owner of 14 Manitou Road, in exchange for an equal amount of property which will be conveyed by the owner of 14 Manitou Road to the Town of Westport, as recommended by the Board of Finance and in compliance with the Planning & Zoning Commission’s positive 8-24 Report.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and Operation Fuel, Inc. as relates to participation in the operation fuel energy assistance program and as recommended by the Human Services Department.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Marina Gasoline Agreement between the Town of Westport and East River Energy of Guilford, CT, as recommended by the Finance Department.

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an agreement between the Town of Westport and Verdi Construction Company, LLC for the construction of the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts, as recommended by the Westport Public Site & Building Commission.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve and adopt a resolution whereby the Westport Board of Selectmen authorizes Assistant Superintendent for Business Nancy Harris to enter into and sign agreement between the State of Connecticut and the Westport Public Schools for a cash grant toward the purchase of alternative/clean fuel vehicle(s) and/or diesel retrofit technologies FHWA Project No. 170-3018.

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve and adopt a resolution whereby First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff is authorized to enter into and sign a lease agreement between DATTCO and the Town of Westport for the lease/purchase of the hybrid school bus for a two year time period, at which time DATTCO will purchase the vehicle from the Town of Westport.

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the award of a contract for the bituminous concrete roadway overlay project, as recommended by the Public Works Department.

9. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a supplemental sanitary sewer connection at property known as 8 Gilbert Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of July 24, 2012.
