Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectwoman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision:
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and Water Pollution Control Authority’s public meeting of October 23, 2024.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Parks & Recreation Department, to approve the Lease Agreement between the Town of Westport and Longshore Sailing School, Inc. for the sailing school and boat rental operation at Longshore Club Park, subject to final review by the Town Attorney’s Office.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Registrars of Voters, to approve the State of Connecticut Grant Agreement for SLFRF (State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds) in the amount of $7,544.21 for costs related to implementing and conducting early voting.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the IT Director, to approve the Authorization from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to conduct continuous scans of the Town of Westport’s public-facing networks and systems (Cyber Hygiene Services).
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Town Audit Manager, to enter into a contract in the amount of $45,000 to Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP for a Parks & Recreation Revenue and Collection Process Assessment.
- Acting as the Local Traffic Authority (LTA), to take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the installation of 12 crosswalks, 1 Rapid Reflective Flashing Beacon (RRFB) and associated signage and street markings between the North Avenue/Cross Highway Intersection and the Bayberry Lane/Cross Highway Intersection, as shown on the project Plans.
- Acting as the Local Traffic Authority (LTA), to take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the installation of 3 crosswalks at the intersections of Cross Highway and Compo Road North, Cross Highway and Weston Road, and a mid-block crosswalk on Hillspoint Road at 177 Hillspoint Road (the Mill Pond Preserve).
- Acting as the Local Traffic Authority (LTA), to take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the installation of 2 Rapid Reflective Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at the existing mid-block crosswalks located at Compo Road South and Compo Parkway and on Imperial Avenue just west of the Baker Avenue intersection (State Project 0173-0516).
- Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #5 Allen Lane, contingent upon the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of October 31, 2024.
