Notice & Agenda

 

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectwoman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision: 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s meetings of July 24, 2024.

     

  2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.

     

  3. Acting as the Local Traffic Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve installation of four (4) NO PARKING signs along the eastern side of Evergreen Avenue at the intersection of the town roadways known as Evergreen Avenue and Washington Avenue in accordance with MUTCD signage requirements.

     

  4. Acting as the Local Traffic Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve installation of three (3) NO PARKING signs along the eastern side of Hillspoint Road at the intersection of the town roadways known as Hillspoint Road and Old Mill Road in accordance with MUTCD signage requirements.

     

  5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Lease between the Town of Westport and the Westport Astronomical Society for the premises at 182 Bayberry Lane, subject to approval by the Board of Finance at its August 7, 2024, public meeting.

     

  6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Mutual Ambulance Sharing Agreement between the Town of Westport and the Norwalk Hospital Association as it relates to lending and borrowing ambulances for the purpose of providing emergency medical services.

     

  7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Department of Human Services, to approve a Consulting Agreement and amendment of Business Associate Agreement between the Town of Westport and Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, Inc., and its parent company, Waveny LifeCare Network, Inc., to extend an agreement for Waveny to provide services upon a referral from the Town's Director of Human Services or their designee.

     

  8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Pump Station Elevator Modernization Agreement between the Town of Westport and Hartford Elevator, LLC, for installation of Maintenance Lifts for Pump Station Locations at 405 Greens Farms Road and 274 Compo Road South.

     

  9. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #3 Shadowlawn Drive, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of August 6, 2024.

     

  10. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #19 Hillandale Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of August 6, 2024.
