Board of Selectwomen Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectwoman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision:
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s Regular and Special meetings of May 22, 2024, the Water Pollution Control Authority’s meeting of May 22, 2024, and the Board of Selectwoman’s Special Meeting of June 5, 2024.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 13a-49. Discontinuance of Highways or Private Ways, to allow for the discontinuance of a portion of two undeveloped Private Ways: Miller Avenue and Clark Street (a.k.a. 395 Main Street) located within the southern portion of the Willowbrook property, as shown on the plan entitled “Road Discontinuance Plan of Clark Street (a.k.a. Clark Avenue) and Miller Avenue” prepared by Leonard Surveyors, dated April 30, 2024.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to review and approve the request from the Remarkable Theater, LLC for the use of the Town owned Property known as the Imperial Avenue Parking Lot on Mondays and Wednesdays from July 1, 2024 through September 4, 2024 for the Remarkable Theater Drive-in, contingent upon compliance with requests for mutual communication with all affected parties, recommendations and inspections from relevant Town departments, and in accordance with the Policy for the Use of Town Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Residential Lease for the Town-owned property known as 52B Compo Road South.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with the Town of Westport Policy for Gifts to the Town, upon the recommendation of the Parks & Recreation Commission, to approve the acceptance of the gift from the Westport Rotary Club for the renovation of the playground located on the Town-owned property known as Compo Beach, and further, if approved, to forward the recommendation of approval to the RTM for its next available meeting.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with the Town of Westport Policy for Gifts to the Town, to approve the acceptance of a donation in the amount of $10,000 from the Estate of Elaine Littman to benefit the Westport Center for Senior Activities.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an Amendment to the Assistance Agreement between the Town of Westport and Catholic Charities, as it relates to expansion of the dishwasher’s hours for the WCSA Congregate Meal Program Service.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Award of the Technical Proposal (Bid 24-110T for UPS Maintenance, Repair, and Support Services) between the Town of Westport and DC Group, Inc.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Statement of Work under the Master Services Agreement, dated August 29, 2022, by and between the Town of Westport and CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP as it relates to audit services for the year ending June 30, 2024.
- Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #50 Turkey Hill Road North, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of May 23, 2024.
- Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #11 Webb Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of May 31, 2024.
- Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #27 Stony Brook Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of May 31, 2024.
- Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #82 Riverside Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of June 4, 2024.
