Board of Selectwomen Meeting

Notice & Agenda 

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectwoman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision: 

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s meeting of May 8, 2024. 

    

2. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the following proposed Sewer Use Charges for 2024:

    

   • Use Charge Rate Per CCF Discharged$6.40
   • Minimum Use Charge Rate$ 400.00
   • Properties on Public Water other than

     Aquarion Water Co.                                          $ 500.00

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request for a waiver of the Town Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to a stone wall and associated fencing built and installed within the Town Right-of-Way fronting along 18 Mayflower Parkway, contingent upon compliance with recommendations and requirements from relevant Town Departments, and execution of an Encroachment Easement and Hold Harmless Agreement satisfactory to the Town Attorney’s Office.

    

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Residential Lease for the Town-owned property known as Longshore Cabin #1, 260 Compo Road South, contingent upon approval from the Board of Finance at its meeting scheduled for May 22, 2024. 

    

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Finance Director, to approve Amendment #4 to the Pharmacy Services Agreement between MaxorPlus, Ltd and the Town of Westport as it relates to filling prescription drugs for certain Town retirees.

    

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Agreement for Paramedic Services between the Town of Westport and Norwalk Hospital Association as it relates to designated services of Norwalk Hospital’s paramedics to augment coverage provided to the Westport Emergency Medical Services (Westport EMS). 

    

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Superintendent of Building Maintenance, to approve the Award of Contract Bid 25-106T (Contract Cleaning Services 2024-2029) to RicaviEnterprises, Meriden, CT in the amount of$427,553.92.

    

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Superintendent of Building Maintenance, to approve the Award of Contract Bid 25-109T (Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services 2024-2029) to Hartford Elevator, LLC, Rocky Hill, CT in the amount of$42,000.00.

    

9. Acting as the Local Traffic Authority (LTA), to replace the YIELD sign at the intersection of the town roadways known as Salem Lane and Salem Road to a STOP sign and install associated MUTCD signage. 

    

10. Acting as the Local Traffic Authority (LTA), to make permanent the temporary STOP signs installed on the eastbound and westbound lanes of the Town roadway known as Greens Farms Road at its intersection with New Creek Road, as approved by the LTA at its October 11, 2023 meeting.
