The Board of Selectmen and Water Pollution Control Authority meeting schedule is posted to the town's web calendar each February for the following 12 months.  See below for proposed standing meeting dates which are subject to change.  Consult the calendar as the meeting date approaches for agenda and updates.

Notice & Agenda 

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectwoman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision: 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and Water Pollution Control Authority’s meetings of March 27, 2024. 

     

  2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.

     

  3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to approve acceptance of an anonymous monetary donation in the amount of $30,000 for deposit to the Police Department’s K-9 account, and further, if approved, to forward the recommendation of approval to the RTM for its next available meeting. 

     

  4. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Fire Department, to approve the Service Agreement between the Town of Westport and PoliceApp.com d/b/a FireFighterApp.com as it relates to registering for qualified candidate firefighter testing and access to job applicant information. 

     

  5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Fire Department, as a participating department in the Connecticut Fire Department Consortium, to approve the Agreement between the Town of Westport and Fire and Police Selection, Inc. (FPSI) to utilize online entry-level testing platform. 

     

  6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with Town Code Sec. C4-6, and upon the recommendation of the Parks & Recreation Commission, to update the “Parks and Recreation Department Rules and Regulations Governing Use of Municipal Beaches, Yacht Basins, Longshore Club Park, Park Areas and Recreational Facilities” to include the following: “Recreational facilities located on Board of Education grounds campuses are not accessible to those who are not students, staff or invited guests between the hours of 7:30am and 4:15pm on school days.” 

     

  7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Parks & Recreation Director, pendingRTM approval at its April 9, 2024 Public Meeting, to approve the Agreement between the Town of Westport and RACE Coastal Engineering for a Beach Resiliency Study. 

     

  8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Award of Contract for Bid 24-107T Pavement Preservation and Repairs, Spring 2024, Town Project No. 2024-05. 

     

  9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Award of Contract for Bid 24-108T Pavement Preservation and Repairs, Spring 2024, Green’s Farms Rd & Morningside Dr N, Town Project No. 2024-08. 

     

  10. To take such action as the meeting may determine to adopt the Safe Streets and Roads for All Resolution for Zero Traffic-Related Deaths or Serious Injuries. 

     

  11. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #26 Burr School Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of March 22, 2024.

     

  12. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #4 Baker Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of March 29, 2024.
