REPRESENTATIVE TOWN MEETING NOTICE
All Representative Town Meeting members and inhabitants of the Town of Westport are hereby notified that a meeting of the Representative Town Meeting members will be held at Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave. in the auditorium on Tuesday July 9, 2024, at 7:30 PM for the purposes listed below. If necessary, the meeting shall reconvene on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, to deal with any agenda items not disposed of at the adjournment of the July 9, 2024, meeting.
1. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the First Selectwoman, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to approve a gift from the Westport Rotary Club for the renovation of the playground located on the Town-owned property known as Compo Beach
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Deputy Fire Chief, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $34,750 from the Capital and Non-Recurring Fund Account for reimbursable costs related to removal of AFFF Foam from Fire Apparatus
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 13a-49, to approve the discontinuance of a portion of two undeveloped Private Ways: Miller Avenue and Clark Street (a.k.a. 395 Main Street) located within the southern portion of the Willowbrook property, as shown on the plan entitled “Road Discontinuance Plan of Clark Street (a.k.a. Clark Avenue) and Miller Avenue” prepared by Leonard Surveyors, dated April 30, 2024.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the RTM Public Protection Committee, to appoint two candidates to the Westport Civilian Public Safety Departments Review Board.
