REPRESENTATIVE TOWN MEETING NOTICE  

All Representative Town Meeting members and inhabitants of the Town of Westport are hereby notified that a meeting of the Representative Town Meeting members will be held at Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave. in the auditorium on Tuesday April 9, 2024, at 7:30 PM for the purposes listed below. If necessary, the meeting shall reconvene on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, to deal with any agenda items not disposed of at the adjournment of the April 9, 2024, meeting. 

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the First Selectwoman, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to approve a monetary donation in the amount of $170,956 from Homes with Hope, Inc. for the specific purpose of supplementing the grant funding for the renovations of the Town-owned property at 45 Jesup Road (Gillespie Center). 

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Fire Department Deputy Chief, to approve an appropriation of $110,000 from the Capital and Non-Recurring Fund Account for work to update and merge FD conceptual plans to include PD and EMS in a new concept analysis for a Joint Public Safety Facility. 

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Parks & Recreation Director, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $186,590 to the Capital and Non-Recurring Account for the Comprehensive Beach Resiliency Planning Study.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Conservation Commission and the Flood and Erosion Control Board, pursuant to Section 148-12 of the Town Code, to approve the WPLO application by the Town of Westport for the replacement of the Old Road Bridge over Sasco Creek at the Town border with Fairfield. (Application WPL-11868-23).

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $1,295,000 along with bond and note authorization to the Asphalt Paving Projects-School Fund for parking lot repaving, curbing, and sidewalk improvements at Staples High School. 

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works to approve an appropriation of $156,000 from the Sewer Reserve Fund the Installation of a Building Management System with Direct Digital Control (DDC) of HVAC equipment. 

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $253,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Fund for the replacement of the Cooling Tower and two Heat Pumps at the Westport Center for Senior Activities (WCSA). 

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $630,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Fund for design and permitting of the redevelopment of Jesup Green and the Imperial Lot.
