Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at 4 p.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, and in accordance with Chapter 103 of the Connecticut General Statutes, to consider proposed assessments and to determine final assessments to be levied for the construction or acquisition of a sewerage system affecting the following areas: Imperial Avenue, Tar Rock, Colonial Road, Franklin Avenue, Ivanhoe Lane, Keyser Road, Pondside Drive, Horse Show Court, Horse Shoe Lane, Laurel Road, Remlin Court, Otter Trail, Pine Street, Sky Top Road, Spruce Street and Linden Street.
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a sanitary sewer connection at property located at 58 Wright Street, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of March 29, 2012.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of March 14, 2012; to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s special public hearing of March 14, 2012; and to approve the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of March 14, 2012.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve acceptance of monetary gifts from the Greens Farm, Saugatuck and Coleytown Schools PTAs to the Westport Human Services Family Programs supporting the Ceremonies and Celebrations, Campership and Parenting programs, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended Oct. 28, 1998.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Parker Harding Plaza by the Sunrise Rotary Club on Saturday, June 30, 2012 for the 4th Annual Great Duck Race, contingent upon compliance with comments from various departments, including the Westport/Weston Health District, and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways as amended Sept. 15, 2010.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green by the Westport Astronomical Society on Saturday, May 26, 2012, rain day Sunday, May 27, 2012, for the International Astronomy Day Celebration, contingent upon compliance with comments from various departments, including the Westport/Weston Health District, and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways as amended Sept. 15, 2010.
7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Electronic Transaction Processing Agreement between the Town of Westport and Official Payments Corp. allowing taxpayers to pay by credit/debit card, as recommended by the Tax Collector.
8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve two Technical Service Support Agreements between the Town of Westport and Physio-Control, Inc. for on-site repair and inspection services for Lifepak 15, Serial Number 40192002, as recommended by the Police Department.
9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve two Technical Service Support Agreements between the Town of Westport and Physio-Control, Inc. for on-site repair and inspection services for Lifepak 12, Serial Number 14254755; Lifepak 12, Serial Number 14254758; and Lifepak 12, Serial Number 14254759, as recommended by the Police Department.
10. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Service Agreement between the Town of Westport and Corporate Mailing Services, LLC, as relates to Westport’s mail services and as recommended by the Finance Department.
11. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Credit Card Services Agreement between the Town of Westport and Transfirst Government Services as recommended by the Finance Department.
12. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an Engagement Agreement between the Town of Westport and Randi Frank Consulting LLC for human resources, risk management and general administrative/management consulting services, as recommended by the Finance Director.
13. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Memorandum of Agreement between the Town of Westport between the Town of Westport, the Towns of Fairfield and Easton, and the Connecticut Departments of Agriculture and Energy & Environmental Protection as relates to the Watershed Vision for Protection and Improving Water Quality in the Sasco Brook Watershed, as recommended by the Conservation Director.
14. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to authorize the Town of Westport to file an application with the State of Connecticut Department of Economic Development for a grant in the amount of $450,000 in order to undertake the Levitt Pavilion improvements and to authorize the First Selectman, acting on behalf of the Town of Westport, to file such application and to execute any and all documents incidental thereto, including an assistance agreement.
