Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. in Room 201/201A of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority and in accordance with Chapter 103 of the Connecticut General Statutes to consider proposed assessments and to determine final assessments to be levied for the construction or acquisition of a sewerage system affecting supplemental sanitary sewer connections approved during 2011. A copy of the proposed assessments is on file in the Office of the Town Clerk and is available for inspection by the public.
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s special public hearing of Jan. 23, 2012.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Veterans Green by the Westport Historical Society for the Annual Hidden Garden Tour & Garden Market on Saturday, June 2, 2012 and Sunday June 3, 2012, including set up date, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments including the Westport/Weston health District and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green by CLASP Homes, Inc. for the Westport Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, April 28, 2012, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments including the Westport/Weston Health District and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve and adopt the Town of Westport Fair Housing Resolution, the Town of Westport Fair Housing Policy Statement, the Town of Westport Equal Opportunity Policy Statement, and the Town of Westport Affirmative Action Policy Statement.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve and award a contract for the repair of the Longshore seawall damaged by Hurricane Irene, as recommended by the Public Works Director.
7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve and award a contract for the repair of the Hillspoint Road storm damage from Hurricane Irene, as recommended by the Public Works Director.
8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve and adopt of a policy, including procedures, allowing for the creation of Pop-Up Cafes in compliance with comments from the Police, Fire, and Public Works Departments and the Westport/Weston Health District.
