Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent to selectwoman@westportct.gov for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items (subject to revision):
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and the WPCA’s meetings of December 13, 2023.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to approve a monetary donation in the amount of $30,500 from Westport Pride Incorporated for the specific purpose of funding the installation of the rainbow crosswalk at the intersection of the Town roadways known as Jesup Road and Taylor Place, and further, if approved, to forward the recommendation of approval to the RTM for its next available meeting.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and Westport Pride Incorporated, as it relates to the rainbow crosswalk installed at the intersection of the Town roadways known as Jesup Road and Taylor Place.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request for a temporary construction easement as it relates to installation of scaffolding on and over town property adjacent to 177 Main Street, for a period of time to be determined and contingent upon compliance with recommendations from relevant Town departments and final approval from the Town Attorney’s Office.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Parking License Agreement between the Town of Westport and the Westport Board of Education as it relates to the temporary use of designated parking spaces in the CT DOT property known as Greens Farms Railroad Station Parking Area for First Student, Inc. employee and bus parking.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Director of Human Services, to approve the Consulting Agreement by and between the Town of Westport and Positive Directions – The Center for Prevention and Counseling, Inc.
