The Board of Selectmen and Water Pollution Control Authority meeting schedule is posted to the town's web calendar each February for the following 12 months.  See below for proposed standing meeting dates which are subject to change.  Consult the calendar as the meeting date approaches for agenda and updates.

REVISION 2 12-12-2023 Items #3 + #4 Withdrawn

 

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent to selectwoman@westportct.gov for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items (subject to revision):

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s meeting of November 22, 2023. 

     

  2. To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.

  3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to accept a monetary donation from Westport Pride Incorporated for the specific purpose of funding the installation of the rainbow crosswalk at the intersection of the Town roadways known as Jesup Road and Taylor Place.

  4. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and Westport Pride Incorporated, as it relates to the installation, maintenance and repair of the rainbow crosswalk installed at the intersection of the Town roadways known as Jesup Road and Taylor Place.

     

  5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve adoption of the “Town of Westport Policy on Use of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations on Town-owned and/or Town-operated Property,” as posted with the Town Clerk’s Office on December 1, 2023.

  6. To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the request of the Director of Parks & Recreation to approve the License Agreement between the Town of Westport and Longshore Sailing School as it relates to the sailing school and boat rental operation at Longshore Club Park.

     

  7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve (i) an Affordability Plan to be signed by the Town and Abilis LLC, and (ii) a 40-year deed restriction for the Town-owned property at 136 Riverside Avenue, in connection with the existing lease of such property to Abilis LLC for affordable housing for persons with special needs. 

     

  8. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #30 Hickory Drive, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of November 22, 2023. 

     

  9. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #36 Woodside Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of November 27, 2023. 

     

  10. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with Section 1-225b of the Connecticut General Statutes, to review and approve the 2024 Calendar of regularly scheduled public meetings of the Board of Selectwomen, Local Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority.
