Board of Selectwomen Meeting

Notice & Agenda
Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. It will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent to selectwoman@westportct.gov prior to the meeting. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items (subject to revision):
1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s meetings of meeting of June 28, 2023.
2. Acting in its capacity as the Local Traffic Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to review Site Plan(s) and associated documents as they relate to the proposed driveway widening at property known as 1000 Post Road East (CT Route 1 – Starbucks Westport) to concur with the assessment of no additional impact to the surrounding roadway; and further, to authorize Jennifer S. Tooker, as Chair of the LTA, to notify the State of Connecticut OSTA of its concurrence with the plans.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Parks & Recreation Commission, to approve the following revision to the “Rules and Regulations Governing the use of Municipal Beaches, Yacht Basins, Longshore Club Park, Park Areas and Recreation Facilities” as filed with the Town Clerk on June 26, 2023:
“Smoking or vaping any cannabis-type substance or tobacco product is prohibited within the boundary of all Town-owned athletic fields, courts, playgrounds, pools, beaches, including but not limited to, concession areas, beach parking lots, and athletic field parking lots. In addition, smoking or vaping any cannabis-type substance or tobacco product is prohibited within 25 feet of all Town-owned athletic fields, courts, playgrounds, and pools.”
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine and in accordance with Section 2. B. of the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to approve the acceptance of a monetary gift in an amount over $5,001 ($9,000) to the Department of Human Services/Westport Center for Senior Activities.
5. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #19 Park Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of June 27, 2023.
