The Board of Selectmen and Water Pollution Control Authority meeting schedule is posted to the town's web calendar each February for the following 12 months.  See below for proposed standing meeting dates which are subject to change.  Consult the calendar as the meeting date approaches for agenda and updates.

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. It will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent to selectwoman@westportct.gov prior to the meeting. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items (subject to revision):

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s meetings of May 10, 2023. 

     

  2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to review and approve the request from the Remarkable Theater, LLC for the use of the Town owned Property known as the Imperial Avenue Parking Lot on dates to be determined from June 26, 2023 to October 31, 2023 for the Remarkable Theater Drive-in, contingent upon compliance with recommendations and inspections from relevant Town departments and in accordance with the Policy for the Use of Town Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

     

  3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Local Traffic Authority, to approve the temporary installation of multi-colored (rainbow) removable material on the crosswalk markings at the intersection of the Town-owned roadways at Taylor Place and Jesup Road for dates to be determined, in recognition of Westport Pride.

     

  4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve Amendment No. 1 to the Master Municipal Agreement for Construction Projects by and between the State of Connecticut and the Town of Westport, Agreement No. 05.28-03(13) dated July 2, 2013, to extend the term for an additional (1) year through July 1, 2024, or until the effective date of the successor agreement, whichever occurs earlier.

     

  5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Finance Director, to approve the Audit Engagement Letter between the Town of Westport and CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP as it relates to the June 30, 2023 year end audit.

     

  6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a 15-year use restriction for the town owned property located at 45 Jesup Road (the Gillespie Center) as a condition to the Town’s receipt of grant funds from the Connecticut Department of Housing.

  7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Department of Human Services, to approve the Certified Resolution and Assistance Agreement between the Town of Westport and the State of Connecticut Department of Housing Under the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program for CDBG-CV Funds (Project SC2015803) in the amount of $1,200,000 to renovate the Gillespie Center shelter to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

     

  8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.

     

  9. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the IT Director, to approve the Maintenance Agreement between the Town of Westport and Total Communications, Inc. for the Cisco VoIP Phone System.

     

  10. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the IT Director, to approve the Microsoft Enterprise Volume Licensing Agreement between the Town of Westport and Microsoft Corporation.

  11. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the award of Contract Bid 23-084B, Pavement Preservation & Repairs - Summer 2023 to Grasso Companies, LLC in the amount of $682,303.50.
