Board of Selectwomen Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. It will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79 and Frontier Channel 6020. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent to selectwoman@westportct.gov prior to the meeting. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items (subject to revision):
1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s Meeting of March 22, 2023 and the Board of Selectwomen’s Special Meeting of March 27, 2023.
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Pop Up Dining Permit Application for a Pop-Up Cafe to be located in two (2) parking spaces on the Town roadway known as Railroad Place adjacent to the property known as 36 Railroad Place (Harvest Wine Bar & Restaurant), contingent upon compliance with recommendations and inspections from Town departments and in accordance with the 2023 Pop-Up Dining Permit Policy.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Pop Up Dining Permit Application for a Pop-Up Cafe to be located in two (2) parking spaces on the Town roadway known as Railroad Place adjacent to the property known as 46 Railroad Place (Romanacci), contingent upon compliance with recommendations and inspections from Town departments and in accordance with the 2023 Pop-Up Dining Permit Policy.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to review and approve the request for a waiver of Town Code Sec. 50-340 (d) Grade. as it relates to the driveway grade exceeding slope allowed at the property known as 15 Gorham Avenue.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request for a waiver under the Town Policy on Encroachments on Town Property (the “Policy”) as it relates to the installation of Belgian block pavers +/- 25’x 8 ½’ (215 sq ft) located in the town right-of-way adjacent to the property known as 28 Fairfield Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the Policy and, if approved, the execution of an Encroachment Easement satisfactory to the Town Attorney’s Office.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Award of Contract Bid 23-078T (Pavement Preservation and Repairs – Spring 2023) in the amount of $805,436.12 to FGB Construction Company, Inc. Norwalk, CT.
7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Agreement between the Town of Westport and Curbside Compost, LLC for food waste collection and transportation to a licensed composting facility.
8. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) and in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes, to approve the final benefit assessments to be levied against properties that obtained supplemental sanitary sewer connection approval during 2022.
