                   LEGAL NOTICE AND AGENDA

 

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Historic District Commission will hold a public hearing to be followed by a work session at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in Town Hall Room 201 for the following purposes:

 

PUBLIC HEARING

 

  1. To hear Chairman’s report and update on current HDC activities.

 

  1. To approve the minutes of the November 13, 2012 public hearing.

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application for proposed garage light fixtures at 3 Gorham Avenue located in the Gorham Avenue Historic District.

 

  1. To review and comment on proposed Text Amendment No. 652/P&Z Appl.  No. 12-044, to modify various Sections of the Zoning Regulations including §11-2.3.12, §11-2.4.5, §32-18.5(d) to allow Guest House/Tourist Home establishments. 

 

  1. To review and comment on proposed  Text Amendment No. 654 P&Z (Application No. 12-050) to modify the zoning regulations in the Business Center District (BCD), mostly on Main Street, to expand the ability of retail uses to occupy space on upper floors and its potential impact on historic downtown properties.

                                    

  1. To accept the study report prepared by the study report committee to be submitted for review and comment to the State Historic Preservation Office and the Planning and Zoning Commission  for the proposed local historic landmark designation of the Bradley-Wheeler House and Farmin Patchin Barn at 25 Avery Place.

 

  1. To nominate a slate of HDC officers for 2013 to be elected at the January 8, 2013 public hearing.

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 18 Norwalk Avenue located in the Compo Owenoke National Register Historic District.

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 28 Ferry Lane East.

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 5 Adams Farm Road.

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 252 Hillspoint Road.

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 4 Smicap Lane.

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 15 Edgewater Hillside.

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 16 Burr Farms Road.
