LEGAL NOTICE AND AGENDA
Notice is hereby given that the Westport Historic District Commission will hold a work session at 6:30 p.m. and a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 14, 2012 in Town Hall Room 201 for the following purposes:
WORK SESSION
1. To review and discuss possible future exterior modifications at 311 Post Road East, c. 1831, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory and located in the Business Preservation District.
PUBLIC HEARING
2. To hear Chairman’s report and update on current HDC activities.
3. To approve the minutes of the July 10, 2012 public hearing.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated July 23, 2012 for proposed garage light fixtures and rear porch fan/light at 5A Gorham Avenue located in the Gorham Avenue Historic District.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated July 30, 2012 for the removal and replacement of the exterior siding, trim boards, sheathing, and roofing shingles of the detached garage at 8 Gorham Avenue located in the Gorham Avenue Historic District.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated August 1, 2012 for the proposed installation of an exhaust fan on the roof, the installation of an intake louver to be located on the rear wall, and the installation of a 6 ft. high, metal guard rail/screen around the exhaust fan at 90 Post Road East, the old Town Hall, in the Jesup Road Historic District.
7. To review and comment on resubmission of proposed project for the replacement of storefront windows approved by the HDC in September 2007, replacement of second floor windows, and roof replacement at 14 Post Road West, c. 1830, located in the Historic Design District.
8. To review and comment on Planning and Zoning Transmittal for Map Amendment t#651/P&Z Appl. #12-036, Rezoning 14 and 20 Lincoln Street, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory, from Res. A to Restricted Office-Retail #1.
9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at One Redcoat Road.
10. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 42 Newtown Turnpike.
11. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 22 Baker Avenue, c. 1905, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory.
12. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 3 Webb Road.
13. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 7 Elwil Drive.
WORK SESSION
14. To discuss nominations for the Annual Preservation Awards to be presented on Monday, October 22, 2012.
