Pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order No. 7B, this meeting will be held remotely without in-person public access but will be live streamed on the Town Website westportct.gov (on the website, select “How Do I” Heading, and select “Watch Town Meetings”) and shown on Optimum Government Access Channel 79 and Frontier Channel 6020.

Comments to be read during the public comment period may be emailed to BOFcomments@westportct.gov.

We will use our best efforts to read public comments if they are received during the public comment period and if they state your full name and address. Meeting materials will be available at westportct.gov along with the meeting notice posted on the Meeting List & Calendar page.

NOTICE OF BOF PUBLIC MEETING

The Board of Finance will hold its Public Meeting on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. with remote participation for the following purposes:

AGENDA

To approve the Board of Finance Minutes of the March 3, 2021, March 9, 2021 and March 11, 2021 Regular Meetings, and March 2, 2021, and March 9, 2021 Special Meetings.
Financial Report from the Finance Director. (Discussion Only)
Status Update from the Audit Manager. (Discussion Only)
Discussion and Recommendation for the First Selectman Salary.
Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $101,000.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30503310-500330-10115 for the engineering design for sanitary sewer extensions to Evergreen Avenue, Evergreen Parkway, Tamarac Road, Lone Pine Lane, Gorham Avenue, Compo Road North & Brookside Drive.
Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $600,000.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30503310-500331-10116 for the replacement of underground fuel tanks, fuel system, and heating oil tanks at the Sherwood Island Connector Parsell Center.
Upon the request of the Superintendent of Schools, to approve a Special Appropriation in the amount of $1,680,053.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30506650-500344-10114 for asphalt paving projects at Greens Farms Elementary School, Long Lots Elementary School, Bedford Middle School, and the Coleytown school complex.
The Board will consider any requests for restoration of sums removed from the Budget by the Board at its March 9, 2021, and March 11, 2021, Budget Hearings, and March 29, 2021 Special Meeting.

The Board will approve the “BOF Recommended Budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022” as follows:

General Fund
Wakeman Farm
Railroad Parking Fund
Sewer Fund
