Notice & Agenda

 

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. Emails to the Board of Selectmen prior to the meeting may be sent to selectman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items (subject to revision):

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s regular meeting of August 11, 2021 and the special meetings of August 18, 2021 and August 30, 2021.

     

  2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, contingent upon compliance with recommendations from Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, to approve:

     

    1. the closure of a portion of Elm Street and the closure of the Sigrid Schultz Parking Lot on Friday October 15 through Sunday or Monday, October 17 or 18, 2021 for Westoberfest activities and events sponsored by the Westport Downtown Association; and

       

    2. the use of town roadways known as Main Street, Elm Street, Clinton Ave, Loren Lane, Sniffen Road, Oak Street, Richmondville Ave, Calumet Rd, Clinton Ave, Ford Rd, Gorham Ave, Evergreen and Myrtle Ave on Saturday, October 16, 2021 for the 10k Road Run sponsored by Fleet Feet & Fitness, LLC.

       

       

  3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with the Westport Policy for Gifts to the Town and upon the request of the Westport Arts Advisory Committee, to approve the acceptance of donations of artwork to the Town Art Collection from various donors (list to follow).

     

     

  4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a request to the CT DOT to conduct a traffic study for the intersection of the CT Route 136 (North Compo Road) and Evergreen Avenue.

     

     

  5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a contract between the Town of Westport and Turning Point Consulting as it relates to consulting and auditing services to obtain rebates and refunds from service providers.

     

     

  6. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at 499 Post Road East, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of August 18, 2021.

     

     

  7. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at 5 Wakeman Place, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of August 20, 2021.

     

     

  8. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at 3 Sunrise Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of August 26, 2021.
