SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR THIS ELECTRONIC MEETING:

 

Pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order No. 7B, this meeting will be held remotely without in-person public access but will be live streamed on the Town Website westportct.gov (on the website, select “How Do I” Heading, and select “Watch Town Meetings”) and shown on Optimum Government Access Channel 79 and Frontier Channel 6020.

Comments to be read during the public comment period may be emailed to BOFcomments@westportct.gov.

We will use our best efforts to read public comments if they are received during the public comment period and if they state your full name and address.  Meeting materials will be available at westportct.gov along with the meeting notice posted on the Meeting List & Calendar page. 

 

                                                  

                                          NOTICE OF BOF PUBLIC MEETING-REVISED

 

The Board of Finance will hold its Public Meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. with remote participation for the following purposes:

 

 

     AGENDA

 

  1. To approve the Board of Finance Minutes of the September 2, 2020 Meeting.

     

  2. To review the 2021 Board of Finance Calendar. (Discussion Only)

     

  3. Financial Report from the Finance Director. (Discussion Only)

     

  4. Coleytown Middle School Status Update from Sheri Gordon. (Discussion Only)

     

  5. Board of Education Facilities Update from the Chief Financial Officer. (Discussion Only)

     

  6. Status Update from the Audit Manager. (Discussion Only)

     

  7. Upon the request of the Town Attorney’s office and in accordance with §C6-2 of the Town Charter, to recommend a lease between the Town of Westport and Phil Restieri for Town-Owned property located at 260 Compo Road South, Cabin #1.

     

  8. Upon the request of the Fire Chief, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $4,635,408.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund account #30502220-500320 to replace the Public Safety Radio System.

     

  9. Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $205,000.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30503310-500321 for COVID-19 and Security Upgrades for Town Hall re-opening.

     

  10. Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $80,000.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30503310-500322 for the design and permitting for rehabilitation of the Old Mill Walkway and Tide Gate Structures.

  11. Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $230,000.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30503310-500323 for construction costs for repairs and improvements to the Jesup Green Seawall.
