Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 9:00 AM in Westport Town Hall Room 201/201A (NOTE ROOM CHANGE) for the following purposes to include, but not be limited to, the following:

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s meeting of October 10, 2019.

     

  2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to waive the requirements of the Town Driveway Ordinance, Section 50-340, Construction Standards, (d) Grade, as it relates to the construction of the driveway at 6 Ivanhoe Lane, contingent upon compliance with comments and conditions from relevant Town departments. ITEM TABLED FROM 10-10-2019

     

  3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with CGS Sec. 13a-49, to approve the discontinuance of that certain piece of land or parcel of land, situated in the Town of Westport, County of Fairfield and State of Connecticut, being shown and delineated as “Belden Place (Private Driveway)” on a certain map entitled “Lot Consolidation Plan of 7 & 15 Belden Place and 201 Main Street, Westport, CT prepared for Belden Place LLC by Accurate Land Surveyors LLC dated 1/3/17 as revised 11/7/17” and recorded in the Office of the Westport Town Clerk as WLR Map #10367.

     

  4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to i) approve the waiver of the low bid and ii) approve the award of contract RFQ #19-942TA (Architectural Conservation Services for Westport Town Hall Portico) to Architectural Preservation Studio, DPC in the amount of $28,700.00.

     

  5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an End-User Agreement between the Town of Westport and Security Services of Connecticut, Inc. regarding background screening for Fire Department employment candidates.

     

  6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Clinical Education Agreement between the Town of Westport and Sacred Heart University to permit students in the College of Health Professions Athletic Training Program to engage in observation ride-alongs in Westport EMS ambulances.

  7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to review and adopt a Policy on the Lease of Town Property.

     

  8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Westport Arts Advisory Committee, to adopt a Westport Art Collection Policy for the management of the Westport Art Collection.

     

  9. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Westport Arts Advisory Committee, to appoint the Westport Public Art Collections Committee (WestPAC) as the agent to maintain and manage the Westport Art Collection, for a five-year term beginning as of July 1, 2019.

     

  10. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Westport Arts Advisory Committee to adopt the Collection Management Guidelines for the ongoing management and maintenance of the Westport Public Art Collections, which include the Westport Art Collection and the Westport Schools Permanent Art Collection.

     

  11. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at property known as 13 Morningside Drive North, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of October 15, 2019.

     

  12. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at property known as 1480 Post Road East, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of October 15, 2019.
