Board of Selectmen Notice & Agenda - 12/14/11

LEGAL NOTICE & AGENDA

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at 4 p.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of Nov. 15, 2011; to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s special public hearing of Nov. 22, 2011; and to approve the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of Nov. 15, 2011.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to accept monetary gifts to the Westport Human Services Department from community residents supporting the holiday program, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended Oct. 28, 1998.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as the Imperial Avenue parking lot by Boy Scouts Troop 39 on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, snow date Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, for the Christmas Tree pickup project, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments including the Westport/Weston Health District and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of certain town roadways by the YMCA of Norwalk for a bike tour to be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments including the Westport/Weston Health District and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a five-year contract between the Town of Westport and Kowalsky Brothers, Inc. for the redistribution of sand on town beaches, as recommended by the Parks & Recreation Director.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve fee increases for the daily parking at Compo Beach recommended by the Parks and Recreation Commission as follows:

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Resolution of Endorsement in support of the Southwest Regional Planning Agency’s application for regional funds to conduct a regional orthoimagery flight as relates to GIS imaging aerial survey, as recommended by the Public Works Director.

9. To take such action as the meting may determine, acting in its capacity as Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a supplemental sanitary sewer connection at property known as 2 Indian Hill Road contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of Nov. 22, 2011.
