The Board of Finance will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Room 201/201A of Town Hall for the following purpose. It is anticipated that the Board of Finance will vote to go into Executive Session for such discussions:

6.Upon the request of the Town Attorney’s office and in accordance with §C6-2 of the Town Charter, to recommend a lease between the Town of Westport and Christopher Rosenfield for property located at 260 Compo Road South, known as Cabin 10.”
7.Upon the request of the Board of Education, it is requested the Board of Finance approve a special appropriation to the Board of Education in the amount of $267,658 for mold remediation, reconstruction and other related professional services at Coleytown Middle School.
8.Upon the request of the Chief of Police, to approve a special appropriation in the amount of 19,950.00 to the accounts listed below for pre-employment costs, equipment, and training of three (3) lateral officers and one (1) new hire to replace retiring and resigning officers.

9.Upon the request of the Deputy Chief of Police, to approve an appropriation in the amount of 33,850.00 to the Shellfish Program Account 22501182-588000 to replace the 20 year old Boston Whaler boat used by the Police Marine Division as it is experiencing structural and mechanical issues due to extensive use.
Note: The practice for upcoming BOF regular meetings will be to close the meetings at 10:00 PM. Motions to extend individual meetings can be heard.
