Notice & Agenda
April 24, 2019


Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in Westport Town Hall Room 307/309 for the following purposes (subject to revision):


1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public meeting of April 10, 2019.


2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to continue discussion, review additional information and approve the previously tabled request for a variance under Sec. 50-337 of the Town Driveway Ordinance as it relates to the proposed construction of a driveway to allow four (4) properties on Alpine Lane to share a driveway extending from Buttonwood Lane, contingent upon compliance with comments from relevant Town Departments.


3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to use the Town-owned property known as Imperial Avenue Parking Lot and certain Town roadways and to request permission from the Connecticut Traffic Authority for the use of certain state roads on Saturday, June 1, 2019 for the Great Duck Race 5K Road Race sponsored by the Westport Sunrise Rotary, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town Departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and Public Roadways.


4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to endorse the Fair Housing Policy Statement and adopt the 2019 Town of Westport Fair Housing Resolution.  


5. To take such action as the meeting may determine and contingent upon funding approval from the Representative Town Meeting, to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and DeRosa Sports Construction, Inc. as it relates to the replacement of Synthetic Turf Fields and the Staples High School Running Track. 


6. To take such action as the meeting may determine and contingent upon funding approval from the Representative Town Meeting, to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and Milone and MacBroom, Inc. as it relates to the replacement of Synthetic Turf Fields and the Staples High School Running Track. 


7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and B and G Enterprises LLC (d/b/a New Haven Awning Co.) for the design, fabrication and installation of canopies for the walkways to modular classrooms at Bedford Middle School.


8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and Pullman & Comley as it relates to pension and OPEB legal consultation.
 
9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a “Policy on Use of Social Media by Town Agencies” and a “Social Media Policy” for Town social media accounts.


10. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at property known as 2 Colony Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of April 10, 2019.


11. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to designate May 22, 2019 as the date for setting the annual sewer use fee.
