Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at 4 p.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of Oct. 12, 2011; and to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s special public hearing of Nov. 3, 2011.
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of a monetary gift to the Westport Human Services Department from the Staples High School PTA to help support the 2011-12 Campership, Ceremonies & Celebrations, and Parenting Programs, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town as amended Oct. 28, 1998.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Veterans Green for the Annual Halloween Parade to be held on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 from 3 – 5 p.m.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Traffic Authority, to approve the closure of Main Street from Post Road East to Avery Place, and Myrtle Avenue from Evergreen Avenue to Main Street, for the Annual Halloween Parade to be held on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 from 3 – 5 p.m.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green from Sunday, July 15 through Wednesday, July 25, 2012 for The Friends of the Westport Library and the Westport Public Library’s Annual Summer Book Sale, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments including the Westport/Weston Health District and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Traffic Authority to approve the installation of STOP signs located on Greens Farms Road at the intersection of Hales Road, as recommended by Police Department.
7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an employment agreement between the Town of Westport and Michael Aitkenhead for the property management of the Wakeman Farm and for the planning and implementation of programs at the farm for local food production and responsible land stewardship.
8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a residential sanitary sewer connection at property located at 264 Hillspoint Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of November 7, 2011.
