Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in Westport Town Hall Room 307/309 for the following purposes (subject to revision):
1.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public meeting of February 13, 2019 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public meeting of February 13, 2019.
2.Acting in its capacity as the Traffic Authority, upon the request of the Parks & Recreation Director, to approve the use of town roads for the weekly Road Runners Series contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, and further, to request permission from the Connecticut Traffic Authority for the use of certain state roads for the August 3, August 10 and August 31, 2019 races.
3.Acting in its capacity as the Traffic Authority, upon the request of the Parks & Recreation Director, to approve the use of Town roads for the Annual Memorial Day Parade to be held Monday, May 27, 2019, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, and further, to request permission from the Connecticut Traffic Authority for the use of certain state roads for the event.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the Assistance Agreement by and between the State of Connecticut, acting through its State Historic Preservation Office, and further, to approve the resolution empowering First Selectman James S. Marpe to execute and deliver in the name and on behalf of the Town of Westport a certain contract with the State of Connecticut, Department of Economic and Community Development as it relates to the CLG Historic Preservation Enhancement Grant Application for the restoration of the Westport Town Hall Portico.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with Chapter 147, Article III, of the Town of Westport Code, to consider preliminary benefit assessments for the extension and installation of a public water main to service properties located in all or part of Broad Street, Cavalry Road and Crooked Mile Road.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with Chapter 147, Article III, of the Town of Westport Code, to consider preliminary benefit assessments for the extension and installation of a public water main to service properties located in all or part of Elwil Drive.
7.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to determine final benefit assessments to be levied for the construction or acquisition of sewerage system(s) affecting supplemental sanitary sewer connections approved during 2018.
