Notice is hereby given
that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution
Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at
9:00 a.m. in Westport Town Hall Room 307/309 for the following purposes (subject to revision):
1.
To take such
action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of
Selectmen and the Water Pollution Control Authority meeting of January 9, 2019.
2.
To take such
action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to use various
Town-owned properties and roadways (as indicated in the application) from Wednesday,
April 24, 2019 (for set up) through Sunday, April 28, 2019 (for breakdown) for
the Remarkable Steam-sponsored Maker Faire scheduled for Saturday, April 27,
2019, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town Departments
and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and
Public Roadways.
3.
To take such
action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of a monetary
donation in the amount of $5,200 to the Downtown Playground Account in
accordance with the Town of Westport Policy for Gifts to the Town.
4.
To take such
action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of monetary
donations under $5,001 accepted by the First Selectman during the calendar year
2018 in accordance with the Town of Westport Policy for Gifts to the Town.
5.
To take such
action as the meeting may determine 1) to accept the petition from homeowners
seeking an extension and installation of a public water main to service
properties located in all or part of Broad Street; 2) to authorize construction
of the extension; and 3) to determine a date to schedule a Preliminary Benefit
Assessment hearing for the project (Contract W7 – Water Main Extension – Broad
Street).
6.
To take such
action as the meeting may determine 1) to accept the petition from homeowners
seeking an extension and installation of a public water main to service
properties located in all or part of Elwil Drive; 2) to authorize construction
of the extension; and 3) to determine a date to schedule a Preliminary Benefit
Assessment hearing for the project (Contract W8 – Water Main Extension – Elwil
Drive).
7.
Acting in its capacity as the Water
Pollution Control Authority, to set a public hearing date to consider proposed
assessments and to determine final assessments to be levied for the
construction or acquisition of sewerage system(s) affecting supplemental
sanitary sewer connections approved during 2018.
