The HDC Grant Committee will hold a work session on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Town Hall Room 309 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for an initial kick-off meeting with Public Archeology Laboratory, Inc. (PAL), contract consultants, for the Historic Resources Inventory update projects to include: 1) the town wide historic resources inventory and preservation planning for Westport Center and 2) the survey of approximately 60 historic properties in the Kings Highway North Local Historic District, complete archival research of 35 properties identified on the 2008 windshield survey, the completion of 10 new digital inventory forms and photographs for 10 historic structures along the Post Road and on principal roadways leading to the downtown commercial area, and 10 full digital inventory forms and photographs for other newly identified resources.
