Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:
1.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public meeting of May 23, 2018 and the Board of Selectmen’s Special Meeting of June 5, 2018.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to (i) approve the closure of the town roadway known as Railroad Place; and (ii) authorize No Parking on the town roadway known as Riverside Avenue south of Bridge Street, on Saturday, September 8, 2018 (Rain Date September 15, 2018) from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the “Slice of Saugatuck” event sponsored by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned properties known as the Imperial Avenue Parking Lot and Upper Library Parking Lot from Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 5:00 pm through Monday, September 3, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. for the Blues, Views & Barbeque Festival sponsored by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce D/B/A BVBBQ, LLC, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Personnel Director, to approve the proposal submitted by the law firm of Pullman & Comley, LLC for RFP #18-921T, Legal Services For Retirement and Welfare Plans.

5.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Finance Director, to approve the Business Associate Agreement between the Town of Westport and RSM US LLP as it relates to the privacy and security of the Protected Health Information and the Electronic Health Information associated with the Town audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Director of Parks & Recreation, to approve the Agreement between the Town of Westport and Geese-Relief, LLC as it relates to Canada geese control/management services.
7.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director to approve (i) the Cooperation Agreement with Opening Doors Fairfield County; (ii) the Certification of Compliance with the Requirements of 24 CFR 570.606 and the Residential Anti-Displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan (24 CFR 42.325); (iii) the Section 3 Plan and Signatures for Form AA-5; and (iv) the Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan as they relate to the CDBG Block Grant Program Application.
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Director of Human Services to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and Operation Fuel, Inc., to allow for the Town of Westport to participate in the 2018-2019 energy assistance program.
9.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Lease Extension Agreement between the Town of Westport and Country Realty Co., as it relates to an original Lease Agreement for a strip of Town-owned land abutting property known as 1317 Post Road East, dated July 1, 2003.
10.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Award of Contract (Bid #18-924T), Canal Road Culvert Replacement, in the amount of $253,000 to Nagy Brothers Construction, LLC of Monroe, CT.
11.Acting in its capacity as the Local Traffic Authority, (i) to accept the condition that the Town of Westport shall construct an ADA compliant sidewalk ramp, and (ii) to authorize First Selectman James Marpe to execute a letter to the CT Department of Transportation requesting the provision of an exclusive pedestrian phase (EPP) at the intersection of US Route 1 (Post Road) and Sylvan Road North and Sylvan Road South in Westport.
12.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the proposed minimal sewer use charge of $350.00 per assessed property, and a rate of $6.20 per hundred cubic feet, due and payable July 1, 2018, which shall be applicable to the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
