Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:


1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s special public hearing of October 18, 2017 and the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of October 25, 2017.


2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to utilize parking spaces on Main Street during the times and days specified on the application beginning November 26 through December 24, 2017 for a valet parking services program sponsored by the Downtown Merchants Association, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town properties known as Jesup Green and the Library Riverwalk on Sunday, December 31, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. for events related to First Night Westport/Weston, contingent upon compliance with comments from relevant Town Departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town–owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.


4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various public roadways for the Bloomin’ Metric Bicycle Event sponsored by Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2018, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadway.


5. Acting in its capacity as the Local Traffic Authority, upon the recommendation of the Town Engineer, to approve the installation of a crosswalk at Avery Place and Myrtle Avenue.


6. Acting in its capacity as the Local Traffic Authority, upon the recommendation of the Town Engineer, to approve the reconfiguration of the intersection of Clapboard Hill Road and Maple Avenue South to include the installation of two traffic islands, extension of the street centerlines, and relocation of STOP signs and STOP bars.


7. Acting in its capacity as the Local Traffic Authority, upon the recommendation of the Town Engineer, to approve a temporary alternating one-way automobile traffic pattern and associated safety signage on the Bayberry Lane Bridge (#04969).


8. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to review and confirm the reasons for the denial of the Application of Summit Saugatuck, LLC for Extension of Private Sewer from Davenport Lane to Hiawatha Lane Extension and Allocation of Sewer Capacity, dated April 11, 2016, as remanded by the Superior Court of the State of Connecticut, and subsequently denied by a unanimous vote of the members of the WPCA at its hearing of October 25, 2017.


9. To approve the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of October 25, 2017.
