Notice is hereby
given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water
Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, September 27,
2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following
purposes:
1.
To
approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of September 13,
2017 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of September
13, 2017.
2.
To take
such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various Town
roadways on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from approximately 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for
the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation charity bike ride, contingent upon
compliance with recommendations from Town departments and in accordance with
Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3.
To take such action as the meeting
may determine upon the request of the Chief of Police and in accordance with
the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to accept a monetary gift from Peter Suchy to
the Town of Westport Police Department to cover the expense of a part-time
secretarial position in the Animal Control Office.

4.
[To take
such action as the meeting may determine to approve a temporary construction easement
between the Town of Westport and Buttendorf Building & Remodeling, LLC as
it relates to utilizing: 1) parking spaces in the Town parking lot known as Old
Mill, and 2) the area of the Town right-of-way abutting property known as 36
Old Mill Road, contingent upon compliance with requirements from relevant Town
departments.]
5.
To take such action as the meeting
may determine to approve a Land Exchange Agreement among the Town of Westport,
Old Hill Elm LLC and Polaris Elm LLC pursuant to which the developer will
expand and improve the Elm Street Parking Lot, currently owned in part by the
developer and in part by the Town, and then transfer to the Town the
developer’s part of the expanded and improved Elm Street Parking Lot together
with cash consideration in exchange for a portion of the Town-owned Baldwin
Parking Lot.
6.
To take such action as the meeting
may determine, upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Works, to
approve the Award of Design Contract in the amount of $58,350.00 to Tighe &
Bond, Inc. as it relates to the design and development of specifications for
Sanitary Sewer Extension Contract #71.
7.
To take such action as the meeting
may determine, upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Works, to
amend the Pump Station #2 Force Main Replacement Design Contract between the
Town of Westport and Tighe & Bond, dated November 25, 2015, to provide
engineering and inspection services during the construction phase of the
project.
8.
Acting
in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, upon the order of the
Superior Court of the State of Connecticut, to re-hear the Application
of Summit Saugatuck, LLC for Extension of Private Sewer from Davenport Lane to
Hiawatha Lane Extension and Allocation of Sewer Capacity, dated November 29,
2016.
