LEGAL NOTICE AND AGENDA


Notice is hereby given that the Westport Historic District Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Town Hall Room 201/201A for the following purposes:   


PUBLIC HEARING


1. To hear the Chair’s report and update on current HDC activities.


2. To approve the minutes of the July 11, 2017 meeting.


3. To approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated 7.25.17 for the proposed restoration plan for the main house, carriage house and garage/studio at 53 Kings Highway North, the Charles Fable House c. 1885, located in the Kings Highway North Historic District.


4. To approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated 7.25.17 for the proposed landscape design including masonry (stonewalls, retaining wall, walkway, and driveway) and the restoration of existing stone walls and landscape screening at 43 Evergreen Avenue located in the Evergreen Avenue Historic District.


5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to recommend to the Building Official that the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit at 36 Elm Street be waived.


6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to recommend to the Building Official that the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit at 16 Manitou Road be waived.


7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to recommend to the Building Official that the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit at 101 Valley Road identified on the Historic Resources Inventory as a colonial revival style dated 1924 be waived.


8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to recommend to the Building Official that the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit at 4 Charbeth Lane be waived.  


9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to recommend to the Building Official that the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit at 34 Oak Street be waived.  


10. *To take such action as the meeting may determine to recommend to the Building Official that the balance of the delay period for the recent demolition and reconstruction at 15 Roseville Road be waived without a demolition permit.
