Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 4 p.m. in Room 309 for the following purpose(s):
1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of June 22, 2011; and to approve the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of June 22, 2011.
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of a monetary gift to the Town of Westport from the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County for the Department of Human Services’ Families In Need Escrow fund, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town as amended Oct. 28, 1998.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as the Imperial Avenue parking lot, the library parking lot and the Levitt Pavilion for the Annual Blues, Views & Barbeque Festival to be held on Sept. 23, 24 and 25, 2011, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments including the Westport/Weston Health District, and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green for an outdoor community yoga class by Lululemon Athletica to be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments including the Westport/Weston Health District, and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a contract between the Town of Westport and D.W. Transport Leasing, Uncasville, CT, for the disposal of sludge generated at the Westport Water Pollution Control Facility and as recommended by the Public Works Director.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request that the Town of Westport enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security as relates to the 2010 State Homeland Security Grant Program, and further to authorize Westport First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff to execute and deliver any and all documents on behalf of the Town of Westport as relates to the Memorandum of Agreement.
