NOTICE and AGENDA
June 28, 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:

1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of June 14, 2017 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of June 14, 2017. 

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town roadways on Sunday, July 29, 2017 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for the CT Challenge Bike Ride sponsored by CT Challenge, Inc., contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways..

3. To revise the previously approved use of town property application (see April 12, 2017 BOS meeting) from the Downtown Merchants Association for the Fine Arts Festival on Friday July 14, 2017 through Sunday, July 16, 2017 to include the use of an area of Town owned property known as the Baldwin Parking Lot for set up of portable toilets, contingent upon compliance with comments from relevant town departments. 

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned properties known as Imperial Avenue Parking Lot and Upper Library Parking Lot from Friday, September 1, 2017 at 7:00 pm through Monday, September 4, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. for the Blues, Views & Barbeque Festival sponsored by the Downtown Merchants Association contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. for the Bon Odori Festival sponsored by the Japan Society of Fairfield County, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
 
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various town roadways on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the “Bike the Beach” event sponsored by the Probus Club of Greater Bridgeport, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways. 
 
7. To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Director of Human Services to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and Operation Fuel, Inc., to allow for the Town of Westport to participate in the 2017-2018 energy assistance program. 

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Information Technology Director to approve a service agreement between Weissco Power LLC and the Town of Westport as it relates to the planned maintenance for Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) and associated battery systems.

9. To review and discuss parking arrangements during the construction associated with the renovation of the Westport Library.

10. Acting in its capacity as the WPCA, to approve the residential sanitary sewer connection request at property known as 20 Morningside Drive South.

ADDENDUM TO WESTPORTNEWS LEGAL NOTICE

11. To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Finance Director to approve the consulting agreement between the Town of Westport and Marsh & McLennan Agency for services related to Workers Compensation, Property and Casualty Renewals, analysis and assistance with the Town and Board of Education Safety and Health Committees.
