Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of May 25, 2017 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of May 25, 2017.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of parking spaces located on the town roadway known as Franklin Street from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on June 27, July 18 and August 8 for “Tuesdays at the Train” events sponsored by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine to (i) approve the closure of the town roadway known as Railroad Place; and (ii) authorize No Parking on the town roadway known as Riverside Avenue south of Bridge Street, on Saturday, September 9, 2017 (rain date Saturday, September 16, 2017) from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the “Slice of Saugatuck” event sponsored by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of a Westport resident and with the support of the Westport Police Department, to approve the installation of “No Parking” signage on the west side of the town-owned roadway known as North Avenue from its intersection at Easton Road north to its intersection at Coleytown Road.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, to (i) accept the Connecticut OPM Westport Police-Youth Collaborative Grant award in the amount of $9,987; and (ii) authorize First Selectman James Marpe to execute the agreement on behalf of the Town of Westport.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a 2-year extension of the contract between the Town of Westport and DigTrees.Com, LLC, as it relates to tree warden services.
7.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the residential sanitary sewer connection request at property known as 2 Harding Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of June 6, 2017.

8.To take such action as the meeting may determine to review and receive the Final Adaptive Reuse Feasibility Study for the Town property known as Golden Shadows, located at 68 Compo Road South, as revised through June 5, 2017, prepared by Achilles Architects.
