Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of April 12, 2017 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of April 12, 2017.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned property known as the Imperial Avenue Parking Lot by the Westport Farmers’ Market during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every Thursday commencing May 18, 2017 through November 9, 2017, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various Town roadways on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the Bloomin’ Metric Bicycle Event sponsored by Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadway.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of a portion of the Town-owned property known as the Upper Library Parking Lot from 8:00 a.m. on June 5, 2017 through noon on June 6, 2017 for the Westport Library’s BOOKED for the Evening fundraiser, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned property known as Imperial Avenue Parking Lot by the Westport Woman’s Club for the 2017 Yankee Doodle Fair from Monday, June 12, 2017 through Sunday, June 18, 2017, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Temporary Encroachment Easement between the Town of Westport and Moran Construction as it relates to (i) the installation of safety equipment and scaffolding to be located along the sidewalk at the front of 38 Main Street; and (ii) use of 2-3 parking spaces adjacent to 38 Main Street for placement of dumpster(s) during the time period in which the property at 38 Main Street undergoes construction and renovations, contingent upon compliance with all requirements from relevant Town departments.
7.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Agreement between the Town of Westport and Public Archaeology Laboratory as it relates to preparation of the Bridge Street National Register Nomination.
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and Total Communications, Inc. as it relates to the Cisco VoIP phone system equipment upgrade.
9.To take such action as the meeting may determine to review and approve a Letter of Commitment between CIRMA and the Town of Westport & Westport Board of Education for a three-year rate stabilization program for Liability-Automobile-Property (LAP) coverage.
10.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an agreement between the Town of Westport and PaintCare LLC as it relates to a no-cost paint recovery program.
11.Acting in its capacity as the Local Traffic Authority, to review and approve the request to re-install a crosswalk at the intersection of Main Street and Wild Rose Road.
12.Acting in its capacity as the Traffic Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to petition the Office of the State Traffic Administration to eliminate the “No Turn on Red” signing at the intersections of Myrtle Avenue and Main Street and Avery Place and Main Street.
13.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection request at property known as 250 Saugatuck Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of April 12, 2017.
