Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of March 22, 2017 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of March 22, 2017.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the use of Town-owned roadway known as Myrtle Avenue and Town-owned property known as Veterans Green on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. by the for the annual Mishkan Day Camp Grand Lag B’Omer Parade and Outing, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to (i) use Town-owned property (sidewalks) on Main Street, Church Lane and Elm Street; and (ii) close Main Street from its intersection at Post Road East to Avery Place, close Church Lane from its intersection at Elm Street to Post Road East, and close Elm Street from its intersection at Main Street to Baldwin Parking Lot entrance on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. to Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 8 p.m. for the Westport Fine Arts Festival sponsored by the Westport Downtown Merchants Association, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Green Task Force, to approve two (2) Solar Power Services Agreements between the Town of Westport and Windham Solar, LLC as they relate to virtual net metering.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve (i) the Billing and Reimbursement Services Agreement; and (ii) the Business Associate Agreement between the Town of Westport and Quick Med Claims as they relate to providing billing services for patient treatment and transport by Westport Emergency Medical Services.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an increase to the Westport Fire Marshal’s Plan Review and Inspection Fees from $5.00 per $1,000 of construction costs to $6.00 per $1,000 of construction costs.
7.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection request at property known as 6 Bluewater Hill, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of March 22, 2017.
8.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority and in accordance with C.G.S. Chapter 103, to schedule a hearing to consider the final benefit assessments to be levied for the construction of a sewerage system (Sanitary Sewer Contract No. 65) affecting properties located in all or part of, the following areas: Bulkley Avenue North, Buttonwood Lane, Old Road, Mallard Lane, Forest Drive, Elizabeth Drive, and Shadowlawn Drive.
