Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:


1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s Special Meeting of March 3, 2017, the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of March 8, 2017 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of March 8, 2017. 


2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to: (i) approve the closure of Railroad Place and Franklin Street; and (ii) approve the use of Town-owned property known as Luciano Park on Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 7:00 a.m. to noon for the “Concours d’Caffeine” event, sponsored by the PBA Scholarship Foundation, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.


3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to use Town- owned property known as the Arnold Bernhard Plaza (a/k/a Library upper parking lot) on Friday, June 9, 2017 for the Picnic Pops Concert sponsored by the Westport Public Schools, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town Departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and Public Roadways. 


4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to use Town-owned property known as Jesup Green from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2017 for Summer Solstice activities sponsored by the Westport Library, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town Departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and Public Roadways. 


5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to use various Town-owned roadways from 7:15 a.m. to 9:00 a m. on Sunday, September 10, 2017 for the Braking Aids Ride, sponsored by Global Impact Productions, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town Departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and Public Roadways. 


6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned property known as Parker Harding Plaza adjacent to and by Boca Restaurant for a pop-up café, contingent upon compliance with comments from Town departments and in accordance with the Town of Westport Pop-up Seating and Pop-up Café Guidelines.


7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Sec. 9-199 (b), to appoint alternates for members of the Westport Board of Assessment Appeals for terms effective March 23, 2017 through March 31, 2018.


8. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection request at property known as 270 Saugatuck Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of March 7, 2017.


ADDENDUM AFTER PUBLICATION


9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and BartonPartners Architects Planners, LLC as it relates to the preparation of the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Master Plan for Saugatuck.


10. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Works, to approve the award of contract Bid #17-880T in the amount of $110,692.00 to FGB Construction as it relates to Phase I of the Compo Marina channel dredging project.
