This represents the second meeting between Committee members and Barton Partners, our selected consultant, to organize next steps towards creating and implementing a Plan for Saugatuck. Attending on behalf of Barton Partners and their sub-consultants will be: Seth Shapiro, Mark Evans, and Heather Craig of Barton Partners, Michael Szura of Langan Engineering, and Virginia Adams of Public Archeological Laboratory or PAL). Discussion will be led by Barton Partners and moderated by Committee Co-Chairs, Craig Schiavone and Mary Young. P&Z Staff members Katherine Daniel and Keisha Fink will help facilitate the meeting and take minutes. All interested members of the public are invited to attend.


1. Discuss/vote to maintain or create a new brand for the Committee and our plan:
A. Replace existing name (Saugatuck Transit Oriented Development Master Plan Steering Committee) with new abbreviated name such as:         "Saugatuck Steering Committee" or "SSC"


B. Develop a plan name; suggestions include:


i. "Saugatuck T.O.D. - Gateway for Westport";
ii. “Saugatuck Transit Oriented Planning & Preservation Committee;”
iii. “Committee to Study Transit and Preservation in Saugatuck;”
iv. “Selectman’s Committee to Study Transit & Preservation in Saugatuck;” 
v. “Saugatuck Complete Streets Planning & Preservation Committee.”


2. Discuss the Revised Study Area:
Review incorporation of feedback received at 2/14/17 Committee meeting


3. Discuss the Revised Scope of Work
A. Review incorporation of Historic partner’s scope (New partner is Public Archeological Laboratory or PAL)
B. Review/discuss goals to be achieved as identified in the Scope of Work


4. Discuss the Work Schedule
A. Review information learned from interviews with stakeholders
B. Review strategy for upcoming public meetings
C. Commencement by Barton Partners of a new website so Committee members and other stakeholders can track our progress and stay connected.
