Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of February 22, 2017 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of February 22, 2017.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to use Town-owned roads on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the Bike MS event sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town Departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and Public Roadways.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to use Town- owned roads Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 9:00 am to 11:00 a.m. for the Bigelow Tea Community Challenge 5K Run sponsored by the Bigelow Tea Foundation, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town Departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and Public Roadways.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Memorandum of Agreement by and among the Friends of Westport Parks and Recreation and the Town of Westport as it relates to a Tree Planting Program to plant and maintain trees on Town property managed by the Parks & Recreation Department.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and Kowalsky Brothers as it relates to the redistribution of sand on Town beaches.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and Atlantic Tennis Court Company as it relates to the resurfacing and crack repair of eight (8) Town-owned all-weather asphalt tennis courts.
7.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to determine final benefit assessments to be levied against properties that obtained supplemental sanitary sewer connection approval during 2016.
FOLLOWING ITEMS ADDED AFTER PUBLICATION DEADLINE
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the lease agreement between the Town of Westport and DLL Public Finance as it relates to the lease of fifty (50) Club Car golf carts and one (1) Carryall for use at Longshore Club Park Golf Course.
9.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the service agreement between the Town of Westport and CourseLogix.com as it relates to the design, service and management of the Longshore Golf Course website.
